It's so funny how in my last post I was just saying how I couldn't believe that October was almost over and it's December!
As you have all figured out by now (because I mention it basically every time I post) I'm terrible at keeping up with these things - but I just don't know what to write about.
Today I'm selling my pieces at my job for the holiday shop and I'm extremely nervous about it. I have 25 pieces up for sale, most of which are porcelain, a few others are stoneware and then there are some bisque fired porcelain pieces that were left naked for a 'design your own piece' appeal. The shop has been open for almost an hour now and I'm a little bit nervous because I haven't sold anything yet.
People are definitely looking around at them, but I don't know if they're good enough to sell - which tells me one thing: I need to get my ass back in the studio and FAST.
I know that I'm not really able to do so at this moment because I'm not longer a college student with unlimited access to all that a ceramics studio has to offer. But I can go to the clay studio, which I feel is definitely going to be something that I need to do.
Oh well - let's have a beautiful day filled with beautiful things.
Make new lines.
Does anyone else make beautiful things in their time off? Or wish that they were better at making the things that they do?
